Filipino culture is one of the world's richest, shaped by over 7,000 islands, three centuries of Spanish influence, and the enduring spirit of bayanihan: the tradition of coming together as a community to lift one another up.

From the fiesta tradition to the Tinikling dance, from adobo to halo-halo, the Philippine Cultural Garden will bring these traditions to life in the heart of Cleveland.

Why this matters

Rooted in
Cleveland

The first known Filipino to call Cleveland home arrived in 1920. Since then, Filipino Americans have built hospitals, opened businesses, raised families, and contributed immeasurably to this city, yet have no permanent monument in Rockefeller Park.

The Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation oversees 30+ gardens. We are working to earn our place alongside them, a living space dedicated to Philippine culture and community.
